Who we are
The United Nations Road Safety Fund (UNRSF) is the only UN-led global fund providing coordinated technical road safety assistance to policymakers. Established in 2018, UNRSF brings together 21 UN member organizations, governments, the World Bank, the private sector, and civil society under a single coordinated framework, mobilizing catalytic resources, scaling proven solutions, and driving system-level road safety reforms in low- and middle-income countries.
What is the role of UNITAR?
The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is the training and capacity-development arm of the United Nations. Its mission is to bridge the knowledge and skills gaps through impactful training, research and innovative learning solutions across peace, diplomacy, sustainable development, and effective governance.
UNITAR hosts the UN Road Safety Lab and provides expertise in learning, capacity development, and knowledge management. Through its experience in training and digital learning solutions, UNITAR helps transform knowledge into practical action and strengthen road safety capacity worldwide.
